NBBT along with Destination Nackawic, Woodstock Tourism and Fredericton Capital Region Tourism are thrilled to announce that for the first time ever, New Brunswick tournament organizers will be able to weigh Largemouth Bass at events across the region this season.
We want to thank all the folks across the industry, and particularly at the Department of Natural Resources and Energy for making this a reality. We want to also recognize that this privilege comes with conditions, and the NBBT and our partners take these conditions very seriously. Full details of the conditions will be announced at a later date, and we ask that you also review the NBBT rules after the announcement of the conditions so you are aware of how it will impact you as an angler. It is an exciting time to be a tournament angler in New Brunswick, and we thank all of you for being a part of this journey.

One of the most important things any angler can do is to help grow our sport by introducing new people to bass fishing, and in our case, tournament bass fishing.
Thanks to our friends at Minnow Tackle Shop, we are excited to introduce the "Rookie Rewards" initiative. Any team that registers for a Crush City/Doiron Outfitters NBBT open, that has never fished a Smallmouth/Largemouth Bass tournament before in ANY jurisdiction will be entered in a draw to win back their entry fee (one winner per event). If you are the only "Rookie" team, then you are guaranteed to win. If there are 2 "Rookie" teams, then you have a 50/50 chance, and so on. This only applies to teams where BOTH members meet the requirements to be considered a "Rookie", and each team is only eligible for this draw when registering for their very first event. Rookies must properly & honestly complete entry form for Woodstock Open & Capital Region Open. ***Rookies competing in the Destination Nackawic event must email [email protected] to confirm entry and to be eligible to win. Winners will be selected at the conclusion of each event, and winners must have competed and be present to win. NBBT and Minnow Tackle Shop are committed to helping our sport grow, and we are excited to see new teams join us this season, and we are equally excited to allow come lucky anglers to compete in their first ever tournament, without the cost of the entry fee, compliments of Minnow Tackle Shop. From September 26 - 29, 2024, NBBT was honoured to be a part of the Pan-American Black Bass Championship, hosted by Fredericton Capital Region Tourism, Destination Nackawic and Canada Bass. For the first time, New Brunswick was the focal point for the bass fishing world as anglers from 10 nations competed for international glory, and the New Brunswick Bass Tour got to be there with a front row seat. Numerous NBBT anglers and volunteers got to spend those few days alongside some of the best anglers in the world, as they got to experience the world class fishery we have been hiding here at home…..and a few lucky NBBT anglers got the incredible opportunity to compete in this event, representing Team Canada and Team Wabanaki (representing our local First Nations). Since we began, showcasing New Brunswick to the world has been one of our goals, and thanks to everyone involved in bringing this groundbreaking event to our province, major steps forward were taken in accomplishing this goal. Your final standings for the 2024 Abu Garcia Team of the Year race! It came right down to the wire!!! Congratulations Henry Arseneault and Jeff Shaw on another incredible season! Well done guys!
